Board Meeting

Members Present: Marty O’Brien, Carol Watson, Deanna Werthman, Jim Gresock,

Phil Essenmacher, Peggy Stencel and Betty Harvey

Members Absent: Marilyn Light 

Guests: Erica Sheridan, Kathy Spears and Diana

 

The meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m. by Jim Gresock. A discussion of membership followed. 

4th of July activities and costs were discussed.  The LBA will be asking the DDA for financial aid to help cover future costs.

This year Fall Flannel Days will include costumes, parade, scarecrows and pet parade.  It will not include crafts. 

Peggy gave a report on the Margarita Fest.  The fest was well attended and a success financially – a good first year for the event.

Jim reported that everything was ready for the annual car show.

Vice President – Phil Essenmacher

Treasurer – Carol Watson

Secretary – Betty Harvey

Trustee – Deanna Werthman

We need two more trustees.

Jim Gresock, Marty O’Brien and Marilyn Light will be leaving the board.  We are greatful for their many years of dedicated efforts to the LBA. 

A motion was made by Marty O’Brien and 2nd by Carol Watson to set up a subsidiary of the LBA to recognize traditional core events to include the Archer’s/Anglers Fishing Tournament, Lakeside Craft Fair, Lexington Fine Arts Street Fair, Fall Flannel Days and Lexington Days with all funds from these events to be turned over to the LBA.

A vote in favor of the motion was unanimous. 

Membership is asked to attend the village council meeting this coming Monday.  It will address the issue of Karolyn McEntee’s dismissal.

Guests are welcome to attend board meetings from 2:30-3:00 p.m. for questions or concerns. 

Meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
