Lexington Arts Council presents  Music in the Park 2008

 WHO:            The 338th US Army Band  to Honor Service Members on Thursday, July 3 at Lexington’s  Tierney Park. 

WHAT:             The 338th Army Reserve Band is the largest army reserve band in the United States, and is stationed in Whitehall, Ohio and Livonia, Michigan.  The band has performed frequently in the Midwest, and had performed recently for audiences nationwide and beyond, including a tour of Germany in 2007.  The band performs a wide variety of music designed to appeal to a diverse audience.   

Each performance also includes special recognition of retired veterans, all who are currently serving in the armed forces, and their families.

WHERE:          The Patrick Tierney Memorial Park at Lexington Harbor (two blocks east of the traffic light in Lexington). 

WHEN:           NOTE one-time change:   Thursday, July 3 at 7:00 PM 

COST:             Free 

PARKING:     Harbor and free shuttles from church lots.

NOTE: To provide emergency vehicle access, the village of Lexington has expanded NO PARKING zones to many streets near the harbor, so look for the new signs. The free shuttles from the  church parking lots offer a good option.  

BRING:            Lawn chairs, blankets 

RAIN:              VFW Hall,  5090 S. Lakeshore Rd. (M-25), located across from the Lexington Municipal Water Tower 

REFRESHMENTS:  Available
